FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 – REQUEST FOR INFORMATION REFERENCE FOI/7496
Thank you for your request for information relating to Full Time Job Posts.
We are now able to provide the following information:
1. The number of full-time equivalent posts with climate, sustainability, net zero, or carbon in the job title or job description, plus the total salary cost of those posts employed by the local authority.
Environmental Sustainability Team, which includes:
Environment Strategy Manager
Project Manager
Project Officer
Business Support Administrator
All of the above have climate/sustainability/carbon within their current Job Descriptions.
There is also the following posts that have referenced to climate/sustainability/carbon in job descriptions:
Fuel Poverty Programme Manager
Place Strategy Manager
Place Project Manager
Total salary of costs of £281,681 (based on the first spinal column of salary bands).
There may be other posts with Sustainability within job descriptions, however this would exceed the appropriate limit under s.12 of the Freedom Of Information Act. You may be aware that there is a statutory limit to the amount of time authorities are required to spend retrieving and collating information to respond to a request. This is defined in the Fees and Appropriate Limit Regulations and currently stands at 2.5 days or 18 hours.
We estimate that it will take one officer more than 18 hours to locate the information you have requested, as we would need to review ALL job descriptions and activities of all employees.
