Thank you for your request for information relating to dental health spending relating to schools:
Please could you tell me, for each year since 2020, including 2024/25 (or the most recent year available), for your local education authority:
• The total amount spent on dental services for pupils
• The total amount spent on dental products (including, but not limited to, toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, dental kits, or other oral hygiene supplies)
• The recorded reason for this expenditure (for example, public health initiatives, emergency provision, targeted programmes, etc.), where available
Please could you provide this information by email, preferably in a spreadsheet format.
Please see the attached document. Please note, the local authority commissions only oral health promotion services e.g. supervised toothbrushing and staff training rather than dentistry within schools.

If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the right to ask for an internal review.
