Freedom of Information request - Monthly data on potholes (FOI/6887)
Message from Nottinghamshire County Council - 22 December 2025
Dear *********
Provision of requested information – Ref: FOI/00006887
Thank you for your request for information about Monthly data on potholes, which we received on 4th December 2025. Your request has been considered under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIR).
In your request you asked:
1) Please provide the number of potholes filled in each month from November 2021 to November 2025. These should be the same figures you use to compile the annual ‘Potholes Repaired" numbers for the Local Highway Maintenance and Transparency Reports but broken down per month.
Please add in information about whether the methodology for how you collect these figures has changed.
2) Please provide also the number of potholes reported (both by the public and by your own inspectors) in each month from November 2021 to November 2025.
I enclose a copy of the information you requested.
Please note:
- The report for 25/26 won’t be created until next year, however we have included the figures which will be taken from the same data source.
- This is the number of customer reports. Highway Inspectors do not report potholes, any potholes identified by an inspector would result in a job being created with no customer report.
Your privacy: we use your personal information such as name and address so that we can comply with our legal obligations to respond to EIR requests.
