Thank you for email of 18th December 2024 where you requested information about Internship Schemes. The response to your request is provided below.

In your request you asked:

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I request the following information regarding internship schemes run or facilitated by the council over the last four years:
  1. Details of Internship Schemes:
    • A list of all internship schemes, including the year(s) they operated, the number of placements offered, and the departments or services involved.
  2. Eligibility Requirements:
    • A full breakdown of all requirements for applicants, including:
      • Age restrictions or criteria.
      • Any specifications based on ethnicity, religion, or other personal and protected characteristics.

Summer Internship - has been running since 2018 - offers four placements a year across the Council departments. Runs June - Sept.
The Summer Internship Programme is available to anybody who identifies as disabled or with a long term health condition and is currently at university. The scheme is restricted to Nottinghamshire residents or students at either Nottingham Trent University or University of Nottingham.

SEND Internships - currently in our third year. Runs from November for six months
One placement in 2023
Two placements in 2024
Six placements available for start in November 2025
SEND Internships are for young people with SEND who are attending educational provision for access to work.
