Thank you for your email of 8th July 2025 where you requested information about EHCPs. The response to your request is provided below.

In your request you asked:
 
  1. How many young people (under 25) are currently waiting for an EHCP (education, health and care plan) assessment in your local authority 

830 with an average wait time of 17.9 weeks
 
  1. Could you provide me with the longest amount of time a young person (under 25) who is currently waiting, has been waiting for an EHCP assessment in your local authority 

Currently there are 186 children and young people waiting longer than 26 weeks
 
  1. Could you provide me with the average amount of time a young person (under 25) who is currently waiting, has been waiting for an EHCP assessment in your local authority 

See Q2 above – the average wait time is 17.9 weeks
 
  1. Could you provide me with the number of young people (under 25) who have had an EHCP assessment, and are now waiting for the results of that assessment in your constituency
