FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 – REQUEST FOR INFORMATION REFERENCE FOI/7788
Thank you for your request for information relating to Compressed Working FOI.
We are now able to provide the following information:
1. The number of employees currently working under a formal compressed hours arrangement, defined as where contracted weekly hours are worked over fewer than the standard number of working days.
212 employees (figures for staff working 37 hours in 4 or less days)
2. If held, the total number of employees within the authority, to allow this figure to be expressed as a proportion of the workforce.
6327 employees as at 31.03.2026
3. Any internal reports, summaries, management information relating to the use of compressed hours.
Request for Flexible Working Policy attached. The Flexible Working policy sets out compressed hours being a potential option for a flexible working request.
