Further to your request received i can confirm that the Council has now considered your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
In the 5 years preceding his request, how many SERIOUS ACCIDENTS were logged along this route (RTAs)
Of these accidents how many caused loss of life
- In the 5 years 2017 to 2021 inclusive there were 4 serious collisions reported by the police and no fatalities.
What reasons were given to accept this request
- The safety camera scheme was delivered under NCC’s programme of Safety Schemes, which is compiled based on forecast casualty savings.
Where did the A612 rank against other Gedling roads in terms of cause for concern for speeding and accidents
- We don’t operate a ranking system, but since 1/1/2017 we have conducted 55 detailed collision investigations in the Borough of Gedling. 25 remedial schemes have been delivered within that period which include two Safety Camera schemes of equally high value (the site at Burton Joyce being one of those).
