Potholes at Pinfold Road, Newthorpe, Nottingham (FOI/7134)

Message from Nottinghamshire County Council - 12 February 2026

Dear Requester,
Request FOI/7134
Further to your request received on 21st January 2026, I confirm that the Council has now considered your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

Questions)
I am trying to find the following information for Pinfold Road, Newthorpe, Nottingham as it is in a terrible state.

Please can you find out the number of reports to NCC about potholes over the past 5 years (broken down for each year) and the number of times holes have been repaired.

I would also be interested when the last resurfacing work was carried out.

The road is also seeing a number of new houses being built and I want to know if a Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) funding has been received by the County in relation to this development, and if so, how that funding has been allocated or used in respect of highway maintenance.

Answers)
Please find the street report attached which contains the information you have requested.

The Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) is a discretionary charge applied by the Local Planning Authority who in this case would be Broxtowe Borough Council.
In order to charge for CIL contributions, the Authority must have an appropriate planning policy in place and publish a list of items which the levy will pay for.  As matters currently stand Broxtowe Bourgh Council do not have a Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) policy, and therefore, do not collect CIL contributions.  Consequently, the County Council has received no CIL funding from any sites in the Broxtowe area.

We hope you find this information useful.
The Council publishes Access to Information requests and responses on its online Disclosure Log. Only requests deemed to be in the public interest will be included and any request included within this log will be de-personalised accordingly.
