Thank you for your email of 28th October 2025 you requested information about Blue Badges. The response to your request is provided below.

In your request you asked:

Since Jan 2022 to October 2025 - Please provide datasets broken down year-by-year.
 
  • How many Blue Badge parking permit applications have you granted per year (ie. 2022 - 300, 2023 - 500)

2022 – 19,363 badges issued (including reapplications).
2023 – 19,740 badges issued (including reapplications).
2024 – 21,920 badges issued (including reapplications).
2025 (Up to Oct 31st) – 20,772 badges issued (including reapplications).
 
  • How many Blue Badge applications have your rejected per year (ie. 2022 - 300, 2023 - 500)

2022 – 2,332 applications rejected.
2023 – 2,520 applications rejected.
2024 – 3,398 applications rejected.
2025 (Up to Oct 31st) – 3,437 applications rejected.
 
  • How many reports of Blue Badge misuse have you received per year

2022- 5
2023- 8
2024- 3
2025- 2
 
  • How many reports of stolen Blue Badges have you received per year

2022 – 15 reports from badge holders that their badge was stolen.
2023 – 22 reports from badge holders that their badge was stolen.
2024 – 30 reports from badge holders that their badge was stolen.
2025 (Up to Oct 31st) – 37 reports from badge holders that their badge was stolen.
 
  • To date, how many total Blue Badges are active/in circulation in your local authority area

As of 31st October 2025, there are 56,133 active badges on issue in Nottinghamshire.
