Thank you for your request for information relating to A631 from Gainsborough Trent Bridge.

1. Inspection reports for the A631 from Gainsborough Trent Bridge including Beckingham Bypass and terminating at Gringley on the Hill from December 2023 up to February 2026.

Works may have been identified in-year - and also reactively in response to highway defects - at this location, however these would not appear in the budget figures contained in the relevant appendices of the Capital Programme reports approved by Members within the date range specified.
5. A list of any third party works that was carried out on the above road from December 2023 to February 2026 and any reports after completion of the works

6. Details of any risk assessments from December 2023 to February 2026 completed regarding highway maintenance/ pothole categories causing damage to vehicles resulting in accidents the A631/ dual carriageway.

A complete list of any claims and awards made, including appeals made against defects in the highways of Nottinghamshire County Council due to damage to vehicles caused by potholes etc. An itemised list please with dates-. I would like the numbers settled and the amount paid and the amount rejected. I would like both litigated claims and challenges. Also, can you confirm the date parameters for the data is as mentioned above - December 2023 up to February 2026

Litigated claims are identified in the attached spreadsheet. We do not record challenges to the Council’s decision; this would require a manual review of all 3279 case files to determine whether any challenge had been received. We do not have the resource to undertake this level of review so additional resource would have to be employed, and it would exceed 18 hours to retrieve this data. The data in the attached spreadsheet has been provided in accordance with the specified dates.

Please also clarify why my insurance policy number and occupation are requested Why is this information relevant when filling out the claim form and what is this information used for including how long is this information is retained on file Is there any recorded information online that states the reasons for this and what the retention period is
Insurance details are requested as part of the Council’s fraud detection checks; occupation is requested to enable accurate reserving should loss of earnings be claimed. The retention period is 7 years. Our approach to fraud detection and data retention policy is set out in the Fraud Statement, Highways Leaflet Guidance for Claimants and Privacy Statement Explained within the first page of the online claim form.
