Further to your request received on 25/02/2025, I confirm that the Council has now considered your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

1. Please could I be provided with the information on how the grade was decided and when the pay grade for fleet driver and fleet driver with a D licence was decided to be at the same grade of pay.

The Fleet Operations Driver role was evaluated under the NJC job evaluation scheme in January 2017 and assessed at Grade 3. The evaluation for the role included the following requirement in the Job Description: "A full endorsement free driving licence that includes category D/D1.
