Disclosure Log
Bridle Road/Bridleway 1 Burton Joyce Jan 2021 to Feb 2026 (FOI/7348)
Message from Nottinghamshire County Council - 17 March 2026
Dear Requester,
Request FOI/7348
Further to your request received on 18th February 2026, I confirm that the Council has now considered your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Questions)
I would like to request copies of all maintenance inspection records including routine safety inspections and reactive inspections held by Nottinghamshire County Council from 1st January 2021 to 28th February 2026 for what I believe your Rights of Way team classifies as ‘Burton Joyce Bridleway 1’ but for completeness this covers the stretch of Bridle Road between the junction with Foxhill and Glen Road up to 101 Bridle Road.
Finally, I would like copies of records showing all maintenance works undertaken on this section of Bridleway during the same period (1 January 2021 to 28 February 2026), including:
• work orders / job sheets
• dates of works undertaken
• nature of works completed
• costs associated with the works (where recorded)
• contractor details (if applicable)
• any related photographs or completion reports (if held)
Answer)
Unfortunately, we do not hold this level of data for a Right of Way (RoW). The route is not subject to regular inspections, nor is it recorded within our Asset Management System (AMS), as it is classified as a bridleway rather than an adopted highway.
We have attached the available street history report for the route from our AMS. However, the public may experience difficulty reporting is*****s because the bridleway is a RoW and not an all-purpose highway. Most of the existing records relate to the short section of adopted highway where the bridleway intersects with Glen Road and Foxhill Road.
We have reviewed our AMS, but it does not contain records of works or inspections for this route. No work has been undertaken by us since 2021.
We hope you find this information useful.
