Thank you for your request for information relating to Social workers.
We are now able to provide the following information:
1. How many social workers did you employ as of February 2025 payroll Please give your response as a headcount number (i.e. not as FTE)
727 Social Workers and Practice Consultants
2. Of these employees, how many have you paid or reimbursed their Social Work England registration fee of £90 for the 2024/25 registration period Please give your response as a headcount number (i.e. not as FTE)
0 - We do not pay the Social Care England registrations - the employees must pay this themselves.
3. A copy of any council policy/procedural note on the payment/reimbursement of the Social Work England registration fee.

Notes on question 2:
If you paid/reimbursed all your social workers their registration fee for 2024/25, please enter the same headcount number as for question 1.
If you did not pay or reimburse any social workers their registration fee for 2024/5, please enter 0 as your response to question 2.
