Further to your request received on 23rd February 2026, I confirm that the Council has now considered your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

Questions & Answers)
Please supply the details of the following in respect of the current financial year and 6 preceding financial years in respect of the two What 3 words locations specified below:
  1. Number of individual pothole repairs undertaken.
We are unable to provide the number of individual potholes as some jobs may have multiple potholes; however, please find attached the exported street history report for this road which covers both w3w locations which you sent to us, this will contain details of all jobs in the date range requested, there may be descriptions stating the number of potholes on each job.
  1. Costs of repairs undertaken by the council and its nominated contractors.

We are unable to provide costs specifically for pothole repairs/reactive maintenance or for specific locations as these repairs are charged to a general maintenance budget which covers the whole county.
 
  1. Process for monitoring the quality control of the repairs undertaken and the evidence that these procedures were carried out and action taken in respect of deficiencies.
The County Council would expect supervisors and managers at Via East Midlands to undertake the inspections of pothole repairs as they provide the service on the Council’s behalf. The County Council does not have a dedicated resource to inspect pothole repairs. There is one Clerk of Works employed who may undertake ad-hoc inspections as and when required.  However, the vast majority of their time is taken up inspecting works undertaken as party of the County Council’s capital programme.
