Message from Nottinghamshire County Council - 10 February 2026

Dear Requester,
Request FOI/7174
Further to your request received on 28th January 2026, I confirm that the Council has now considered your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

Question)
I would be grateful if you could provide details of all the public consultations consultation on traffic calming and risk mitigation proposals through Normanton on Soar and surrounding villages during the closure of Kirk Hill Bridge on the A6006.

I would like to see the details of what has been proposed and the public response.

Answer)
There was no public consultation arranged by Via East Midlands (ViaEM) or Nottinghamshire County Council (NCC) regarding this issue, a public consultation is not required for a temporary traffic regulation order, therefore, no information held.

The works promoter Network Rail arranged their own public events with local stakeholders, which our representatives did attend, however, this meeting was not held by NCC.

Please contact Network Rail directly who may hold the information that you are requesting, their contact details are [email protected] .

We hope you find this information useful.
