Thank you for your email of 20th May 2026 where you requested information about Blue Badge - Hidden disabilities. The response to your request is provided below.

In your request you asked:

Please state, for each of the following financial years:
• 2024/25
• 2025/26

1.The total number of Blue Badges issued by the authority.

In 2024/25 Nottinghamshire County Council issued 23,176 Blue Badges. This includes both new applications and reapplications.
In 2025/26 Nottinghamshire County Council issued 24,327 Blue Badges. This includes both new applications and reapplications.

2. The number of Blue Badges issued under "hidden disability”, "non-visible disability”, "non-visible hidden”, or equivalent eligibility criteria.
In 2024/25 Nottinghamshire County Council issued a total of 599 Blue Badges under the ‘Non-Visible (Hidden) Disabilities’ eligibility criteria.
In 2025/26 Nottinghamshire County Council issued a total of 910 Blue Badges under the ‘Non-Visible (Hidden) Disabilities’ eligibility criteria.

3. Of the badges referred to in Question 2, please state how many applications included reference to:
(a) Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
(b) Anxiety and/or anxiety disorder
This includes cases where the condition was recorded as either a primary or secondary factor within the application or assessment process.

This information that has been requested is not held. Eligibility for a Blue Badge is assessed based on several factors rather than the presence or absence of any particular diagnosis or condition. Consequently, successful applications and assessments cannot be reported by specific medical conditions such as ADHD or Anxiety, and this breakdown cannot be provided.
