FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 – REQUEST FOR INFORMATION REFERENCE FOI/8085
Thank you for your request for information relating to Sherwood Avenue, Blidworth, Playing Field Access, which we have dealt with under the Environmental Information Regulations, 2004 (EIR).
I request copies of all correspondence, emails, letters, file notes, attachments, maps, plans, and other documents held by Via East Midlands and/or Nottinghamshire County Council relating to communications between the Senior Rights of Way Officer and former Blidworth Parish Councillor John Cheesmond concerning access rights, public rights of way, or alleged public rights of way through Sherwood Avenue Playing Field, Blidworth.
In particular, I refer to Minute 74.15 of the Blidworth Parish Council meeting held on 21 November 2019, which records:
“Cllr Cheesmond provided members with a map produced by the Senior Rights of Way Officer at VIA clearly showing no right of way through the land.”
I therefore specifically request:
1. Copies of all emails and correspondence between former Cllr John Cheesmond and the Senior Rights of Way Officer concerning this matter.
Under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004, public authorities are required to make environmental information available on request where it is held. To determine whether we hold any information within scope of your request, we have undertaken reasonable and proportionate searches and consulted with the relevant service areas (the Countryside Access Team and Via East Midlands, which are the areas most likely to hold any relevant information). We have found no correspondence with Cllr John Cheesmond, and therefore no other information relating to your questions (which are all framed in the context of correspondence with Cllr Cheesmond). We therefore confirm that the requested information is not held by this authority and we are unable to provide any information in response to your request.
2. Copies of any maps, plans, documents, reports, legal opinions, or attachments sent to Cllr Cheesmond.
Not applicable - we have found no correspondence with Cllr Cheesmond - see answer to question 1.
3. Copies of any responses, advice, explanations, or supporting information provided by Via East Midlands or Nottinghamshire County Council relating to access through Sherwood Avenue Playing Field.

4. Copies of any internal records, notes, or file references created as a result of these communications.
