Message from Nottinghamshire County Council - 11 July 2025
Dear *****
Provision of requested information – Ref: FOI/00006015
Thank you for your request for information about pothole repairs, which we received on 23 June 2025. Your request has been considered under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIR).
The information you requested is:
Please provide me with the number of potholes repaired by Nottinghamshire County Council in each of these time periods:
12 March to 30 April 2025 – 3,155
2 May to 20 June 2025 – 1,968
Please note that we find that the term "pothole" is used by the public to cover a range of concerns, from surface crazing and ride quality to actual defects. As many of these concerns do not transpire to what we identify as potholes, we are providing data on jobs created specific to where a void has formed in the surface that requires a high priority (Cat 1) response in accordance with Nottinghamshire County Council Highway Inspection and Risk Manual (Highway Inspection and Risk Manual | Nottinghamshire County Council).
If there is still time after answering the first question, please share all correspondence and minutes of non-public meetings involving the council"s leadership team that include the term "pothole" since 2 May. – Following a search of our paper and electronic records I have established that the information you requested is not held by Nottinghamshire County Council.
