Further to your request received I confirm that the Council has now considered your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
 
  1. What criteria do you consider when assessing tenders for SEND taxi provision
    (For example: price, safeguarding, vehicle safety, quality, reliability, etc.) – contracts awarded 100% on cost
  2. What weighting does your Council assign to each of these criteria in the evaluation process – contracts awarded 100% on cost
  3. Do you require tenderers to provide evidence of:
    • An enhanced DBS check for drivers and escorts Yes, both
    • Right to Work documentation and/or National Insurance verification We do not request evidence of Right to Work documentation – however the Contract does state that evidence of Right to Work in the UK must be available on request for all employees of the contracted Provider.  We do not seek evidence of National Insurance verification
