Thank you for your email of 23rd March 2026 where you requested information about staff redundancies and dismissals. The response to your request is provided below.

In your request you asked:

How many council staff were made redundant or dismissed in
 
  1. the 12 months up to 1 May 2025

38 staff were made redundant or dismissed in the 12 months up to 1 May 2025

and
 
  1. in the time period 2 May 2025 up to 20 March 2026

26 staff were made redundant or dismissed in the time period 2 May 2025 up to 20 March 2026

Of those made redundant in part (b), how many staff members have challenged the decision to end their employment, such as via legal proceedings
