Further to your request received on 7th May 2026, I confirm that the Council has now considered your request under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004.
Questions)
I am writing regarding the flooding incident at Hallcroft Road, Retford and the associated correspondence disclosed under FOI.
Please confirm you will send below to Severn Trent or please send contact detail so I can for email below.
Your response confirms:
- Sewer network CCTV inspections found no immediate blockage
- Cleansing works have been completed
- Further investigations, including the outfall, were still pending
Key Concerns
The above indicates that:
- The system may be operating as designed but is potentially insufficient in capacity.
- The investigation was not complete at the time conclusions were drawn.
- Flood risk in the area is known and documented
Please confirm the following:
- Has the outfall now been inspected If so, provide full findings
- Provide full copies of all CCTV survey footage/reports
- Confirm whether the system has been assessed for hydraulic capacity exceedance
- Confirm whether flooding could occur due to network limitation rather than blockage
- Confirm whether any upgrade or mitigation works are planned
We do not hold any further information than the information, we have checked with our Drainage Manager and there is no new information other than the information which was provided to you in your previous EIR request [FOI/7898].
